A video editor who writes code

I run Political Bear Nation, cutting long-form commentary in Premiere. Bear Nation Labs is what happens when the tool I needed did not exist and building it was faster than complaining about it.

Every app here got made because a real edit stalled. Nothing on this site came out of a roadmap meeting.

Native, quiet, and yours to keep

No subscriptions, no accounts, no telemetry, no cloud. Both apps are Swift, both are Apple Silicon only, and both cost less than a sandwich exactly once.

Anvil will never modify a file you saved. Scout never writes to your drives at all. That is not a feature list, it is the floor.

Apple Silicon. Nothing else.

Almost no working Mac editor is still on Intel, so supporting it would mean carrying weight for nobody. Both apps are built for M-series and only M-series.

Two apps. One person. No investors.

If you want to help

Buy me a coffee,or don't. Genuinely.

The apps are already cheap and buying one is help enough. But a few people always ask, so here is the option.

Buy me a coffee

One-off tip, any amount. It goes straight to me and it pays for the drives these apps get tested against.

Tell one editor who would use it, or leave an App Store review. For software at this price, a review is worth considerably more than a coffee.
